Prudential Indonesia
Established in 1995, PT Prudential Life Assurance (Prudential Indonesia) is a subsidiary of Prudential plc, a leading international financial services group from the United Kingdom that has more than £290 billion (USD 468.3 billion) of assets under management (as at 31 Dec 2009). Combining Prudential's global experience in life insurance for more than 160 years with knowledge of local customs and businesses, Prudential Indonesia is committed to develop its business in Indonesia.
Since launching our first unit-linked (life insurance combined with investments) product in 1999, Prudential Indonesia has been a market leader of this particular product in Indonesia. Prudential Indonesia also offers a variety of products and services that are designed to fit and accommodate the needs of its customers.
As at 31 Dec 2009, Prudential Indonesia has 7 sales offices (in Jakarta, Medan, Surabaya, Bandung, Batam, Denpasar and Semarang) and 196 agency offices (throughout many parts of Indonesia including, Jakarta, Surabaya, Medan, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Batam and Bali). Prudential Indonesia has a network of more than 91,000 agents, serving more than 940,000 customers.
Various awards were given to Prudential Indonesia over the years, including in 2010 up to August:
- Service Quality Award 2010. Received “Gold” qualification in “Life Insurance Services” category and “Diamond” qualification in the “Health Insurance Services” category. Award is given by Marketing Magazine in cooperation with Carre CSL.
- Top Brand Award 2010 in Life Insurance Category based on the Top Brand Index 2010 from Marketing Magazine in cooperation with Frontier Consulting Group.
- Marketeers Award: Greatest Brand of the Decade. Editor's Choice for the life insurance category, sub category of product brands for PRUlink from MarkPlus, Inc in cooperation with Marketeers community.
- Indonesia’s Most Admired Company (IMAC) 2010 award from Bloomberg BusinessWeek Magazine as The Best in Building and Managing Corporate Image in the life insurance category.
- The Best Life Insurance Company in Investor Awards 2010 from Investor Magazine in the category of asset more than Rp10 trillion. Prudential retain the “Star Performer” trophy for winning the category in 8 consecutive years.
- Insurance Award 2010. Top position in the category of "Good Life Insurance" in the sub categories of equity over 250 billion in “Insurance Awards 2010” held by Media Asuransi Magazine.
- The Best Islamic Life Insurance, The Most Expansive Insurance, and The Most Profitable Investment in the Islamic Finance Award 2010 held by Karim Consulting.
